Today, we own this almost unique example of the Mercedes Benz brand together, more specifically a Mercedes Benz 220 SE Coup\u00e9 (Model W111). His brothers and father emigrated to the US and his upbringing was sometimes tough. After World War II, he started dealing in cars. Over the years, he built up a substantial car dealership that was never brand-specific. Instead, it almost became an institution where many people from both Gothenburg and Bor\u00e5s were repeat customers knowing that they could trust him to get them what they wanted!<br><br>Sven was active in the company until he in his 80s and the business was always located on the old farm where he was born and lived his whole life, even though there were many new buildings and modernizations. For example, our mother, Agnes, drove a Chevrolet Camaro from the late 60s until she passed away in the late 80s.<br><br>Our dad Sven always liked Mercedes and had several, some as utility cars, but P 9058 was a jewel in the collection. The car has always been stored in a heated garage and most of the time propped up and covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Technical Specifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Purchase:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1964-05-15 from Philipsson, authorized Mercedes dealer in Bor\u00e5s, Sweden. (Our father worked closely with them when his customers wanted Mercedes alternatives.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manufactured 1964<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First registered as P 1840 (P standing for \u00c4lvsborg, a region in southwest Sweden) but after paying 2 kronor (\u20ac0,20) fee and a deposit of 8 kronor (\u20ac0,80) deposition it became P 9058<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintenance has always been of the highest standard. With our own workshop and employed mechanics everything has always been top notch. I.e:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First lube change after 500 km 1964.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regularly given anti corrosion treatments, first time 1964<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ditec Original Paint Preservation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Original interior, inclusive floor mats. The original floor mats have for most of the time been covered with rubber extras.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular, authorised service at the dealer in Bor\u00e5s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engine\/Powertrain:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kw\/Hk 88\/120&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 cylinders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Petrol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi point injection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 gears automatic (Option)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upholstery: Red Leather<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exterior Colour: Tinted white<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dashboard in wood with white steering wheel and red leather.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blaupunkt radio (option) working with UKV (FM), KV, MV och LV.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Milage: During 1974 the counter passed 100.000 km and the counter started from 0. During the 50 years since the car has had another 93.000 km.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>White tiresides<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extra mounted headlights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Today:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After the Swedish license plate reform the car is now known as FNH 798&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The last service was done summer 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Latest Swedish government inspection 2024-09-02 no remarks.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Latest services handled by a local Mercedes Specialist.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All documentation and official protocols available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Original spare part list and technical drawings available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Model<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The W111 220SE Coup\u00e9 was produced from 1961 to 1965. A total of 14,173 vehicles were produced. It was then replaced by the 250SE Coup\u00e9.
